These multi-stage battles are absolute highlights of the game, especially when you have to chase the imposing creatures through the devastated landscape. When you have activated all the towers in an area, you can take on the final boss – one of several corrupted beasts – from it. You then hand in the collected totems to the high towers. The puzzles are entertaining, but lack a bit of challenge and variety. You mainly use your bow and arrow to light torches or place large pots on switches to open doors. These puzzles are a bit like the Shrines from Zelda: Breath of the Wild, but a lot simpler. You are first busy solving puzzles for ‘totems’ for each area. You do this by expelling evil through magical towers that are scattered in the area. Fortunately, you have a generous auto-aim with your bow and arrow, making it easy to maintain this flow.īesides exploring the world in a spectacular way, you must of course make sure that The Godslayer is defeated. Think of the nice feeling you get when you swing through New York as Spider-Man or make a smooth descent in SSX. So you are constantly hitting targets to maintain your momentum, which offers a pleasant dynamic and ensures that you get into a nice flow.
